Saida — November 2, 2025. Four days ago, Al Moasat Association hosted a public awareness lecture titled “Vaccines: Myths and Facts,” delivered by Dr. Abdulrahman Bizri.

The lecture was opened by the Association’s President Mrs. Rola Ansari, who emphasized the value of scientific information and reaffirmed that Al Moasat remains a platform for health education and community awareness — especially amid ongoing economic and health challenges in Lebanon.

The Association’s Secretary Mrs. Zeina Al-Hassan Bizri welcomed Dr. Bizri and highlighted his remarkable scientific achievements and contributions to public health research.

During the lecture, Dr. Bizri presented an overview of the historical development of vaccines and their role in protecting individuals — particularly older adults and those with chronic diseases. He also addressed misinformation circulating on social media, confirming that “medical research and scientific evidence must always be the basis for evaluating vaccine efficacy — not rumors.”

He stressed that vaccines remain one of the greatest medical achievements in modern history and called for reinforcing public trust in the healthcare system and primary care centers as the first line of defense in protecting the community.

Al Moasat Association concluded by affirming that its humanitarian mission extends beyond providing medical and social services — to spreading awareness, because prevention is the foundation of a healthy society.
