Saida — 8 June 2026. On the occasion of World Nurses Day, the Nursing Department at Sidon Technical Institute / Al Moasat organized a special activity under the supervision of instructor Reda Qanso, highlighting the vital role of nursing in healthcare and community service.

During the event, Institute Director Ms. Ghaidaa Al-Dirzi emphasized that investing in young nursing professionals is essential for strengthening the healthcare sector and serving the community. She praised nurses and nursing students for their dedication, commitment, and humanitarian mission.

The activity featured an emergency simulation exercise replicating an airstrike scenario, during which nursing students performed casualty triage, first aid procedures, and emergency response operations in cooperation with the Islamic Medical Association. Students demonstrated a high level of preparedness, discipline, and practical competence throughout the exercise.

The simulation provided participants with an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a realistic environment, enhancing rapid-response capabilities, decision-making under pressure, and teamwork skills while reinforcing collaboration between educational and healthcare institutions.

The event highlighted the importance of hands-on training in preparing qualified nursing professionals capable of responding effectively to emergencies and serving their communities with professionalism and compassion.
